Divyajyot (DJ) Verma

DJ Verma is an associate in a business law group at Goodmans. His practice focuses on general corporate matters, including, public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities law, private equity, and corporate governance.

DJ obtained his law degree from Jindal Global Law School, India, and completed his master’s in Canadian common law from the University of Toronto, Canada.

DJ first joined Goodmans as a summer student in 2022 and returned as an articling student in the same year. He became an associate at the firm in 2023.

Prior to joining Goodmans, DJ worked as an associate for four years in the Corporate and M&A practice group at a leading law firm from India, where he advised on mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, private equity and venture capital deals.
