Overview

Rachel is an associate in the Banking and Financial Services Group at Goodmans. 

She is developing her practice in debt finance and corporate transactions, with a focus on corporate lending, acquisition finance, secured lending and cross-border transactions.

Rachel has experience representing lenders and borrowers in domestic, global and international transactions, including debt securities, private credit and constructions loans. 

Prior to joining Goodmans, Rachel was a corporate associate in the Toronto office of a global law firm.

Rachel is recognized by IFLR1000 as “Rising Star” and by Best Lawyers in Canada as “One to Watch” for Banking and Finance Law.

  • A variety of private debt funds including Twin Brook Capital Partners, Apogem Capital and Ares Capital
  • Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in connection with credit facilities provided to various technology companies
  • The Toronto-Dominion Bank, as Administrative Agent, in connection with syndicated pre-development and construction facilities to support various projects in Ontario, including the Berczy Warden residential development

  • Cineplex Inc. in connection with its private placement of $575 million of senior secured notes
  • IAMGOLD Corporation in connection with its second lien credit facility
  • Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. in connection with the refinancing of its long-term debt facilities
