Neil Harris
serves as Senior Tax Counsel in the Tax Group at Goodmans. He specializes in
Canadian and international tax matters with a particular emphasis on
cross-border mergers and acquisitions and taxation aspects of corporate
finance, transfer pricing and e-commerce.
He has
represented domestic and foreign corporations before the Canada Revenue Agency,
federal and provincial Departments of Finance and the courts.
Neil's transactional
and advisory expertise has been recognized in Canada and internationally in
publications including Chambers Global,
Euromoney and Lexpert. He is currently recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada.
Neil has written and lectured extensively on domestic and international taxation issues for the International Fiscal Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation and other Canadian and international tax organizations. He has also lectured at the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of Law on advanced tax planning.
