Michel Lederman is Co-Director, Legal Talent at Goodmans.
Working with Co-Director Ali Richardson, Ali and Michel lead the firm’s legal talent and management efforts and are responsible for all aspects of the firm’s student, associate and law clerk programs including managing recruitment, mentorship, professional development and advancement, and performance management.
Michel is involved in a variety of other firm initiatives, including diversity, equity and inclusion, mentorship and retention. Michel articled at Goodmans before practicing litigation for several years as an associate. She received her B.A. from York University, her LL.B. from Osgoode Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011.
Michel is an active member of the community and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters Toronto as a Co-Facilitator in its Girls Empowerment Program. She also regularly supports Hand up Toronto delivering grocery care packages to families across the city and provides summary legal advice for low-income Ontarians through Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline.
