Overview
Caitlin Woodford is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Goodmans. She is developing her practice in the areas of commercial and civil litigation and dispute resolution. She acts for and advises clients on a wide variety of litigation matters, including: complex contractual disputes; wrongful dismissal and other employment-related claims; securities and shareholder disputes; technology, telecommunications, and broadcasting issues; public, regulatory, and administrative law issues; and negligence and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Before joining Goodmans, Caitlin practised at another Bay Street law firm where she provided advice to employers in all areas of employment and labour law, including pre-employment and hiring issues, employment standards, human rights and accommodation, labour relations, privacy, occupational health and safety, and wrongful dismissal. Caitlin also advised on the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Caitlin has both trial and other in-court experience, and experience assisting clients with alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration. She has appeared before administrative decision-makers and provincial and federal courts.
