When claims arise, or are on the horizon, we advise insureds on the extent of their coverage and in making claims under their policies. We work with clients to prepare claims with the goal of securing a prompt and favourable response from the insurer.

We also advise insurers on complex factual and legal coverage issues.  We are skilled in negotiating and managing insurance and reinsurance arrangements.  When acting for insurers we are adept at assessing, managing and settling claims, while being prepared to go to trial when necessary.

We advise insureds and insurers in connection with property and casualty, builder’s risk, commercial general liability, professional liability, representation and warranty and directors’ and officers’ liability insurance policies.

We are seasoned litigators who regularly appear at all levels of court and have experience in various other areas of litigation that underlie insurance claims, including corporate/commercial/securities and insolvency litigation. This provides us with a distinct advantage when disputes arise.
